EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique

What is EFT?

EFT is based on this theory or Foundation statement. ‘All negative emotions are caused by a disruption in the body’s energy system.’

In addition to having a physical body, which is fuelled by food, we humans also run on this intricate energy system which is fuelled by electrical impulses, which run through the body and brain. This energy system holds the key to many of the disturbances we experience in our daily lives.

This electromagnetic energy that flows through the body and regulates our health is only recently becoming recognized in the West, where modern medicine has concentrated on the physical and chemical nature of the body.

EFT could be described as psychological acupuncture, as it utilizes the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments, but without the invasiveness of needles.

Instead, simple tapping with the fingertips is used, to input kinetic energy onto specific meridians on the body, while tuned into a specific problem.The creative use of statements enables the person to tune into the issue and remain focused on the problem during the treatment. This is vital to the success of the therapy.

This combination of tapping the energy meridians and voicing of the statements works to clear the ‘energy disruption’ or ’emotional block’ from your body’s energy system, thus restoring your mind and body’s balance, which is essential for optimal health and the healing of physical ailments.
